Blitz face Tshwane Spartans led by AB de Villiers at Newlands on Friday, but whether Steyn plays that game is still under doubt, given the time needed to travel from Australia to South Africa. The franchise’s second match is on Sunday versus Durban Heat and there are certain chances that the pacer play that game.

Dale Steyn practiced hard for a comeback

Last month, after a gap of almost two,  Steyn made his ODI comeback when South Africa was playing against Zimbabwe in the second ODI of the three-match ODI series at Mangaung Oval (Bloemfontein), which the Proteas won by 3-0 margin.

Recently, Afghanistan star leg-spinner Rashid Khan shared his excitement of featuring in the inaugural edition of the South African T20 franchise league – Mzansi Super League, starting on November 16.
