Former South Africa fast-bowling great Dale Steyn has raised concerns over Kartik Tyagi’s development, suggesting that the young pacer is still searching for consistency in his approach. Tyagi, who featured as an Impact Player in IPL 2026, came under scrutiny after another expensive outing, prompting Steyn to point out recurring technical changes in his bowling action.

While the raw pace and skill are evident, Steyn’s remarks underline a larger issue—until Tyagi backs his own strengths and settles on a consistent action, unlocking his full potential at the IPL level may remain a challenge.
