The third and the final ODI between India and Sri Lanka was played at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Friday. India won the toss and elected to bat for the first time in this series and they made as many as six changes in the playing XI for the 3rd match. Nitish Rana, Gowtham, Sanju Samson, Chetan Sakariya, and Rahul Chahar got a chance to make their ODI debut.

Shikhar Dhawan decided to bat first with his thigh move as he won the toss. Indian batsmen looked shaky in the first innings. as they failed to establish a good partnership to reach a defendable total. Much to the credit of Sri Lanka’s bowlers who put them in all sorts of trouble.

although the match was cut short to 47 overs due to rain, the Indian batsmen got bundled out in just 43.1 overs for a meager score of 226 runs. Individual performances from Shaw, Samson, and Suryakumar helped the Indian team to put a decent total on board. However, Daniel Alexander was again in a meme before the winner of the Sri Lanka team. He tweeted India can’t win the finals. Much to his own doing again he was trolled on Twitter for mentioning the third ODI which was a dead rubber as final.

Soon after this, the Indian fans trolled him as he did something similar in the second ODI as well. However, Sri Lanka eventually won the third ODI owing to a brilliant performance by spinners and brilliant half-centuries from teh top-order batsmen,

After recently being in news for all wrong predictions of the ODI matches, Daniel Alexander is in all kinds of memes on social media platforms. Much to his own doing, he got trolled on Twitter by fans. In the 2nd ODI, he Tweeted “Sri Lanka greater than India“ but quickly deleted it as India won the match and ultimately the series.
