Danielle Wyatt recently featured in the 2020 edition of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. Although she is a stunning player, she had a rather forgettable outing in the mega event. She opened the batting in every game and could only manage 47 runs in four matches at a rusty average of 11.75.
In the first three games, she managed single-digit scores on every other occasion. Her top score of 29 came against Pakistan at the Sydney Showground Stadium as well. She has 1588 runs in 109 games which came at an average of 20.10 with two centuries and seven fifties in her name.
However, England’s tournament ended on a not so happy note. Their semi-final against India at the Sydney International Stadium was washed out without a ball being bowled as there was no reserve day available and India reached the final being the table topper. In the Group B, England finished the second team below South Africa. Danielle Wyatt also expressed her disappointment after the bad luck England faced in the semi-final.
