Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a role model to many active cricketers. He served Indian cricket a long time before he finally took a call on his international career. Before hanging his gloves, he had done many wonders on the cricketing field. While his glovework behind the wicket was second to none, he was also a big hitter of the ball. His exploits earned him the reputation of being the best finisher in the cricketing world.
The world saw Australia’s Michael Bevan as a certified finisher for his ability to take the game deep and win it in the end. Dhoni also had a similar tendency of tiring the bowlers at first before unleashing the beast mode in death overs.

Several cricketers have openly admitted how they idolize Dhoni. David Miller is the latest player on this list, who himself plays the role of a finisher for South Africa from time to time.
During a fun #AskMiller chat session with fans on Twitter, Miller was asked to say few words For Dhoni.
Miller didn’t shy in singing praises for Dhoni and said “One of my favourite cricketers. Best finisher I’ve seen, very humble, and love his calm demeanour.”

Both Miller and Dhoni were seen in action during the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) respectively. While the southpaw managed to get 62 in a match and showed his destructive side but failed to get going in the rest of the matches as ended up scoring only 88 in five games.

On the other hand, the CSK skipper found the going tough, as he has failed to score a fifty since the 2019 season. Dhoni would often come in late but failed to get going immediately and surprisingly would use a lot of balls.
