The veteran Australian opener, David Warner made an attempt to recreate the ‘Cristiano Ronaldo Coke bottle moment’ during the post-match press conference after the T20 World Cup 2021 match against Sri Lanka. Ronaldo had removed the Coke bottles from his table in the press conference earlier this year, and this resulted in a loss of $4 Billion for Coca-Cola.

David Warner was seen during the same thing but was asked to put the Coke bottles back on the table. In fact, Warner even asked whether he needs to put the Coke bottles back as well. In the encounter between Australia and Sri Lanka on Thursday, the Sri Lankans only managed to reach the score of 154/6 in their quota of 20 overs. In reply, David Warner was in red hot form with the willow and scored a whirlwind knock of 65 off 42 deliveries at the top of the order to help Australia breeze past the target with 7 wickets and 3 overs to spare.

David Warner regarding his form as he smashed 10 fours in his enterprising innings. Apart from Warner, Aussie skipper Aaron Finch and veteran batsman Steven Smith also contributed with some useful knocks. While Finch scored a superb 23-ball 37, Smith stayed till the end and helped himself to a patient 28*.

Warner is one of the greatest batsmen to have ever played for the Australian side especially in the shortest format of the game. Warner is currently the second-highest run-getter for the Australian side in T20I cricket and has plundered 2344 runs in 83 innings at an average of 31.67 and a strike rate of close to 140. Warner has also scored 1 hundred and 19 fifties in T20I cricket as well.
