However, over a year later, Australian batter David Warner weighed in on the matter, voicing his disapproval of the punishment handed to Curran.

David Warner pointed out a double standard, citing an instance where a celebrity was allowed to bowl on the pitch before a game without any consequences.

Tom Curran has been a valuable contributor in the BBL, with impressive stats to back his performances. In 40 matches, he has taken 53 wickets at an average of 21.73 and an economy rate of 8.44. With the bat, he has scored 439 runs at an average of 20.90, boasting a strike rate of 142.07 and a career-best score of 62.
