Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper, Virat Kohli is going through a lean phase in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Even in international cricket, he scored his last century in 2019 against Bangladesh in the famous day-night Test match at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Virat Kohli has been getting quite a few starts as he has scored quite a few half-centuries but he has failed to capitalize on good starts more often than not. He recently stepped down from captaincy from all the formats of the game. Rohit Sharma, who was his deputy, took over as the Indian team’s captain in all three formats.

The 15th season of IPL has been no different for Virat Kohli. It is only safe to say that he is going through a forgettable outing so far. He has scored only 216 runs in the 11 matches that he featured in so far in the season with the help of just one half-century, ut he has also suffered a couple of golden ducks.
During a recent interaction with Sports Yaari, David Warner opened up about Virat Kohli’s lean patch. The Australian batter was in a light mood and gave a hilarious answer. Warner emphasized the need to stick to the basics in times like these.

David Warner advised, “Have a couple more kids and enjoy love! The form is temporary and the class is permanent so you don’t lose that. It happens to every single player in the world. It doesn’t matter how good a player you are, you’re always going to have these ebbs and flows. Sometimes the ebb is a long way before you get back up there. Stick to the basics.”

Warner is sharing his own experience and is giving greater importance to family life. There is nothing wrong in his advise to VK. On cricketing logic what he said is true a class player born is always a class player there may be some lean period but your class is the same
