Since then, recently, the left-handed opening batsman made a comeback in the cricket by participating in the Global T20 Canada. Playing eight games for Winnipeg Hawks, Warner scored 1, 4, 1, 6, 0, 42, 55 and 0.
Now, Warner returns to Australia to feature in the Strike League (a limited-overs competition in Darwin). In the first game on Saturday, the City Cyclones batsman scored 36 off 32 balls against Northern Tide.
After that game, Warner said, “I’m here to play cricket and I love doing that. I wouldn’t be here today and continue to keep working my backside off to keep scoring runs for each team that I play for if I didn’t love it. I wouldn’t be here, I’d probably retire.”

Warner is fully committed to returning to the national squad once his suspension terms over. The left-handed opening batsman is desperate to keep scoring runs as much as possible.
He said, “I’ll be putting my hand up as much as I can. This (competition in Darwin) is just a little stepping stone to continue my progress to enable myself to keep scoring as many runs as I can for every single team I play for in the next eight months.”

Cameron Bancroft is also participating in the Strike League. Bancroft was the man who tried to change the ball-condition by using sandpaper during the Cape Town Test. While then Australian skipper Steven Smith also faced the 12-month ban like Warner due to playing the leadership role in that ball-tampering incident, Bancroft faced nine-month banned.
Earlier, Warner and Steven Smith both claimed that they are very good friends. Now, Warner said that he and Bancroft are also good mates.
Warner said about Bancroft, “He bought me breakfast this morning. I bought him dinner the other night and we’re good mates.”
