The veteran Australian opener, David Warner, who was recently appointed as the captain of the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal his favorite moment from IPL. David posted a picture of SRH lifting the IPL trophy and called the team his “Indian Family”.
Captioning the picture on Instagram, Warner wrote: “My favourite IPL moment would have to be this for sure. My Indian family @SunRisers”. The Hyderabad-based franchise had lifted the trophy in 2016 after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the final.

On Tuesday, Warner had shaved his head in order to show his support to all those people who are working relentlessly on the frontline in the battle against coronavirus. He also challenged his Australian teammate Steve Smith and India skipper Virat Kohli to do the same.

The deadly virus has brought the entire world to a grinding halt. India’s three-match ODI series against South Africa was called off before the 2020 IPL was postponed until April 15 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a bid to control the transmission of the coronavirus in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day nationwide lockdown.
Incidentally, the 21-day nationwide lockdown is scheduled to get over on April 15. Rajasthan Royal’s Executive Chairman on Wednesday said that the franchise is open to a shortened IPL with “only Indian players.” Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive patients in India went past 1900 with 50 people losing their lives on Thursday, as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The entire world is slowly moving towards a lockdown due to the scare of the ever-escalating situation concerning the World Health Organisation-recognized pandemic that is the Coronavirus.
