A stalwart of the IPL since his debut in 2009, Warner boasts an illustrious record, having amassed 6564 runs in 183 matches. However, the 2024 season has seen the Australian struggle to replicate his usual form, mustering only 167 runs in seven outings. Consequently, he found himself on the bench during Delhi Capitals’ crucial fixture against the Rajasthan Royals.
Despite Warner’s absence, Delhi Capitals emerged victorious, overcoming Rajasthan by 20 runs, with Kuldeep Yadav clinching the Player of the Match award for his stellar bowling performance (2/25).
