England player Dawid Malan, who is placed at the No. 1 in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings with 892 points, has named the youngster who he believes can do wonder in international cricket. Malan has so far scored 1004 runs in the T20 format of the game and averages 50.10 with an amazing strike rate of 144.30 as well.

Along with this, he also holds the record for being the fastest player to score 1000 runs in the shortest format ahead of Pakistan captain Babar Azam and India captain Virat Kohli as well. He recently featured for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the recently suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. He was bought by them for INR 1.5 crores during the  2021 mini auctions.

However, despite having plenty of runs, Dawid Malan failed to get a place in the squad as only four overseas players could play in the playing XI. Recently, he had a conversation with the TV presenter Mayanti Langer and former England spinner Graeme Swann for the Players’ Lounge Podcast.

Meanwhile, they released a video on their official Twitter handle where Mayanti can be seen asking Dawid Malan who could be the rising star from his Indian Premier League side – Punjab Kings. To respond, the swashbuckling batsman didn’t take much time before choosing the young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi.

He also said that Bishnoi bowls quicker than others and has good variations as well. He also opined that since Bishnoi is young, he could become an impeccable player in future as well. “I really like the look of Bishnoi… the leg spinner. I think he’s got something about him. He’s… bowls really good pace- lot quicker than most leggies. And still got some good variations and he’s still really really young. So I think he’s got a good journey ahead of him if he continues on that track,” Dawid Malan replied.
