Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has facing tough time in his life. While he recently gets some good news to move on his cricketing career, he needs lots of work to do to make comeback in regular cricket. Now, his IPL team skipper Gautam Gambhir comes to raise his confidence.

Mohammed Shami

Soon the completion of India’s tour of South Africa in early 2018, where Mohammed Shami was in the Test and ODI squad, his wife Hasin Jahan brought the charges of extra-marital affairs against Shami and also brought the charges of domestic violence against Shami and his family. His wife lodged an FIR on that.

Later, his wife claimed that Shami could cheat his country as he had taken money from a Pakistani girl Alisbah via Mohammed Bhai.

These allegations put Shami into the serious trouble as his cricketing career also went under darkness. While BCCI had put on hold Mohammed Shami’s new annual central contract, his IPL team Delhi Daredevils was also waiting for the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) report before taking any decision.

Recently, ACU has cleared him from the match-fixing charges. As a result, the Indian pacer has earned the Grade B BCCI contract for the ongoing season (October 2017 to September 2018) which has the retention value INR 3 crore. Shami is also cleared to play IPL 2018 for Delhi Daredevils who has bought him for INR 3 crore through the RTM card in 2018 IPL Auction.

Later, Shami got a head injury after his car had a collision with a truck when he was coming to Delhi from Dehradun. Though it was a minor accident, Shami got few stitches on his head.

Now, Shami is concentrating to comeback in cricket. The 28-years old right-arm pacer has the positive attitude at the nets as he is getting back into the rhythm.

Delhi Daredevils captain Gautam Gambhir has impressed with his bowling at the nets. The 36-years old experienced Indian opening batsman even spoke with Shami and told that he was bowling in right line.

On the other hand, Bengal cricketer Abhimanyu Easwaran’s father R.P. Easwaran recently told Sportstar that Shami is fitter now. Before joining with the IPL team, Shami took training at Abhimanyu Cricket Academy (ACA) in Dehradun which has been owned by R.P. Easwaran. Shami had the car accident during returning from that training.

Making an IPL debut in 2012, Shami has played 39 IPL matches where he has claimed 18 wickets. After playing first two seasons for Kolkata Knight Riders (2012-2013), Shami is continuously playing for Delhi Daredevils since 2014.
