The second ODI between the West Indies Women and the South African Women witnessed a nail-biting end as it resulted in a tie. In a low-scoring encounter, South Africa was bowled out for 160, with only Sune Luus taking her hand up and playing a useful knock of 52-ball 46. In reply, the West Indies were also bowled out for the exact same total.

Opener Deandra Dottin played a fiery knock of 31-ball 37 at the top of the order, while Chedean Nation helped herself to 35. And, a super over was played to break the tie and decide the winner. And, that is when Dottin came out all guns blazing and she started smashing the bowlers to all parts of the ground. Off the first delivery of the Super Over, Deandra Dottin scored a couple.

The second delivery was bowled on off stump, and Dottin went cheeky and played the scoop as the ball went past short fine leg for four. The right-hander smashed the third delivery over the bowler’s head and the ball sped away to the boundary at breakneck speed.

Then came a massive six over Long On. The bowler, Shabnam Ismail bowled a slower delivery, but Dottin spotted it early and sent the ball soaring over the long-on boundary for a six. The 5th ball resulted in three runs, and that brought Hayley Matthews on strike. Matthews also had fun off the final delivery of the Super Over as he managed to bludgeon a short delivery over mid-wicket for another six, which helped the West Indies to set a target of 26 runs to chase in the Super Over for South Africa.
