The Indian fast bowler, Deepak Chahar’s wife Jaya Bhardwaj has found herself in a spot of bother as she has been defrauded for a huge amount of INR 10 lakh by 2 men. The Chahar family has also received death threats after they lodged a police complaint against the two accused from Hyderabad.
Team India’s pacer Deepak Chahar, who is currently out of the team after he suffered an injury just before the 2022 T20 World Cup, has found himself in another serious issue as his family has also been receiving death threats after being duped of INR 10 lacs.
According to the latest reports, Deepak Chahar’s wife Jaya Bhardwaj had given INR 10 lacs to two men from Hyderabad in October 2022 for a business venture. Jaya Bhardwaj hasn’t received her money back even after four months as the duo refused to return the money they had taken under the pretext of doing business.

The Chahar family finally had to take the legal route as Deepak’s father Lokendra Chahar filed an FIR at Hari Parvat police station in Agra against the two men. According to the First Information Report (FIR), the two accused verbally abused Chahar’s family and even issued death threats to them when they were asked to return INR 10 lacs.
The two accused Dhruv and Kamlesh Pareek, hail from Hyderabad, and one of them is a former official of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). They received money from Jaya Bhardwaj on October 7, 2022.
Deepak Chahar tied the knot with Jaya Bhardwaj on June 2, 2022. The pacer who will be plying his trade for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL had proposed Jaya after Chennai Super Kings’ match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on October 7, 2021. The romantic gesture by the Indian pacer in front of spectators had gone viral across social media platforms.

Deepak Chahar last played in the series against South Africa in October 2022 and had shown some rhythm before getting injured again. The pacer is a crucial prospect for the Chennai Super Kings franchise and they’ll be hoping to see him fully fit before IPL 2023 begins in April.
