The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals recently shared a humorous video featuring a cheeky reference to Rohit Sharma. This came shortly after India, fresh from winning the T20 World Cup, sent a youthful squad to Zimbabwe for a five-match series. With Rohit Sharma announcing his retirement from T20I cricket, Shubman Gill took over as the captain for the tour.

A few days before the third match of the series, Delhi Capitals posted a video on Instagram showcasing Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, and Khaleel Ahmed. The video was set to the popular Bollywood song “Udja Kale Kawan,” and the franchise captioned it, “Boys, when Rohit Sharma is not around.”

The caption also included a playful nod to Rohit Sharma’s famous quip, “Garden me ghoomne nahi aaye,” which translates to “We haven’t come here to visit the garden.” Rohit made this remark earlier this year during the second Test match between India and England in Vizag, humorously admonishing his teammates.

In the Delhi Capitals’ video, Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan, and Ravi Bishnoi are seen enjoying themselves on a swing, while Rinku Singh and Khaleel Ahmed help them swing. The young cricketers were apparently visiting a wildlife sanctuary, surrounded by giraffes, and everyone appeared to be having a great time until Khaleel slowly walked out of the frame, adding a touch of comedy to the scene.

Fans responded enthusiastically to the post, with many pouring in their humorous reactions. One fan joked that Rohit Sharma must now be flying to Zimbabwe after seeing the video, writing, “Rohit Sharma travelling for Zimbabwe.” Another agreed, adding, “Rohit Sharma on the way,” and a third chimed in with, “Rohit Sharma on the way alert.” Some fans were amused by the fact that the playful post came from an official account, with one commenting, “I can’t believe that is an official account.”
