Delhi has entered into the Ranji Trophy final after a dominant show against Bengal in the semifinal at Pune. They beat eastern rivals by an innings and 26 runs after concluding them for 86 in their second innings, courtesy special bowling efforts by Navdeep Saini and Kulwant Khejroliya, who both bagged a four-fer.

When day 3 went underway, Delhi was batting and had a reasonable lead after bundling Bengal for 286. However, Mohammad Shami thrashed the rest of batting order and registered figures of 6/112. But Delhi gained a crucial 112-run lead, which, at the end, proved enough for an inning-win.

Gautam Gambhir and Kunal Chandela were the star with a double hundred opening stand, where both batsmen notched their person hundreds as well.

Delhi played their last Ranji final 10 years back in 2007-08 when they eventually ended as the winners.
