India’s batting lineup faced early setbacks, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli departing for 13 and four runs, respectively. Subsequent dismissals included Axar Patel for 20 runs, Suryakumar Yadav for seven, and Shivam Dube for three. However, Rishabh Pant played a pivotal role in stabilizing India’s innings, contributing 42 runs from 31 deliveries and steering his team to a respectable total of 119 runs in the first innings.
In response, Pakistan’s chase began with openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan scoring 13 and 31 runs, respectively. However, the middle order failed to capitalize, with Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, and Imad Wasim adding only 13, 13, and 15 runs, respectively.
