With the Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener, Jos Buttler dominating with the bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the Royals aren’t short of firepower as Devdutt Padikkal and Sanju Samson are doing well for the team as well. Devdutt Padikkal, who was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore last year has opened up on his experience to bat along with Virat Kohli and how did Virat Kohli make him feel special with a gesture during RCB’s game against RR where the southpaw scored his maiden IPL century.
Talking during the Red Bull’s podcast Greatness starts here Devdutt Padikkal recalled, “The one thing that I remember pretty clearly was when Virat was being followed by a camera and he told the cameraman ‘Go to him (Devdutt). He is the main man today, and you know that still gives me goosebumps whenever I think about it.”

Again recently during a conversation with ESPNCricinfo, Devdutt Padikkal was asked by a fan in the #politeenquiries: “Who is more fun to bat with? Virat Or Jos?” Padikkal found it hard to give a reply to it but eventually he ended up picking former RCB skipper, Virat Kohli.
