However, in the 61st match of IPL 2024 between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the leggie delivered straightaway and got the big wicket of Daryl Mitchell in his very first over.It was a quicker googly from Chahal, pitching on off and turning in.

Daryl Mitchell who is a good player of spin tried to work it towards the leg side, but missed it completely and RR players appealed in unison after the ball hit the Kiwi’s pad. The umpire did not hesitate to raise his finger and the RR supporters including Chahal’s wife Dhanashree Verma present in the stands was happy with her hubby’s success.

  

Mitchell did take the DRS, but it turned out to be of no help as the Ball Tracker showed three reds, and the original decision was retained.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals scored 141 while batting first on a difficult track at Chepauk with Riyan Parag playing an unbeaten knock of 47 and in reply, Rachin started well for CSK but failed to capitalise on his start as Ashwin got the better of him.
