Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the best wicketkeeper India has ever produced. He has been exceptional behind the wickets and turned several matches in India’s favor by just his excellent keeping skills. Dhoni’s is never shy in supporting the other players and Dinesh Karthik is definitely one of them.
Karthik is playing under Dhoni for a long time and he revealed that former Indian skipper taught him several lessons about the game. First of which is to pick the weakest bowler of the opposition to target him first and avoid taking a risk against the one bowler who is hitting the peak.

“See one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from MS is to identify bowlers. There will be bowlers who will be having a good day, so it is important to give them their due. At the same time, you have put pressure on other bowlers who are not having an entirely good outing. The ability of MS to absorb pressure and then come out triumphs is amazing, a trait I’ve tried to inculcate,” Dinesh Karthik said to Hindustan Times.
Karthik went onto praise Dhoni’s quick stumpings. He mentioned that some of his stumpings are stunning, to say the least. Also, he revealed that no one can replicate Dhoni’s work easily as it is one of the kind.
“When it comes to keeping, well, isn’t he unbelievable? Some of the stumpings he pulls off are stunning, to say the least. I don’t think it is easily replicable, it is one of the kind. Look at his head position, his balance, all these technical things are so perfect, and there is so much to learn,” Karthik said.
