After losing the first ODI of the three-match series in Sydney, the Indian team is in a desperate need of a win in the second DI against Australia in Adelaide. However, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli once again lost the toss and the Australian skipper Aaron Finch decided to bat first. The Indian bowlers made early inroads in the Australian line-up as they were reduced to 26/2. However, another brilliance from Ravindra Jadeja with the help of the MS Dhoni gave India the fourth wicket in the form of Peter Handscomb and the hosts were reeling at 134/4.
The Australian team almost recovered after the early dismissals of Finch and Alex Carey as Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh made a strong partnership of 56 runs but Jadeja’s effort spoiled the partnership in the 19th over bowled by Kuldeep Yadav.

Jadeja was bowling the 28th over of the game in which he dismissed the dangerous looking Handscomb. The southpaw delivered a full ball on which Handscomb attempted a sweep shot, but he was beaten by the length. Jaddu made the ball spin fast past the off stump and Dhoni was quick enough to take well, who saw that Handscomb’s back foot was out of the crease and whipped the bails off and as soon as the batsman looked down and saw his foot was out he realized that he has to go back to the dressing room. Handscomb scored 20 off 22 balls before being dismissed by Jadeja.

It’s a do-or-die game for India as if they lose the Adelaide ODI, they will end up losing the ODI series before moving to Melbourne for the final game of the series.
