Indian batter Dhruv Jurel shared the first thing he purchased following India’s Under-19 World Cup campaign. The wicketkeeper-batter said that some part of his salary went towards his sister’s wedding. He also revealed that he purchased a car on an Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) with the money. He recalled using his salary to pay the down payment for a Hyundai Verna as well.

Jurel said in an interview with former India cricketer Aakash Chopra on YouTube: “It was a car. I purchased a Hyundai Verna when I came back after playing in the U-19 World Cup. The majority of the money was spent on my sister’s marriage, and then on the down payment of the car.”

During the interview, Dhruv Jurel also named the best sledger in the Indian team. He took former India skipper Virat Kohli’s name, stating that the star batter knew how to trigger the opposition.

He concluded: “Virat. He knows what he needs to say to trick someone. He knows what the body language should be, and how he should throw. He always throws in a way that it passes near the batter to get him out of his zone. So many things to learn from him. Everyone just looks at him when he is on the field.”
