India’s wicketkeeper-batter, Dinesh Karthik, has voiced his strong dissatisfaction regarding the omission of Baba Indrajith from the South Zone’s team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy. Karthik expressed his confusion over the decision made by the selection committee and demanded an explanation for Indrajith’s absence. Despite being one of the standout performers in India’s domestic cricket scene recently, Indrajith has not been selected for the forthcoming Duleep Trophy.
Scheduled to commence on June 28 in Bengaluru, the Duleep Trophy will witness the participation of six teams representing different regions of India, including North, South, East, West, Central, and North East.

“I don’t understand the selection committee these days. Baba Indrajith played for the Rest of India against MP in the first week of March 2023. There have been no first-class matches since then, but he doesn’t feature for South Zone in the Duleep Trophy. Can someone tell me why?,” tweeted Dinesh Karthik.
