India and Royal Challengers Bangalore pace bowler Siddarth Kaul opened up on the role clarity that Dinesh Karthik had in the Indian Premier League while playing for the RCB, lauding his evolution as a finisher in the T20 format of the game as well. Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik, who had a forgettable season with Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021, was released by them and RCB bought him for a Rs 5.5 crore deal at the mega auction for IPL 2022 as well.
However, Dinesh Karthik has repaid the faith as he scored 330 runs in 16 matches at a stunning strike rate of over 180 as well. The Faf du Plessis-led side reached the play-offs and finished 3rd in the cash-rich league as well. Karthik was rewarded for his performances in the IPL as he managed to return to the Indian team for the first time in 3 years for the upcoming 5-match T20I series against South Africa, starting June 9. Meanwhile, Siddarth Kaul has said that he is confident that RCB will be able to do well next season.
“I heard Dinesh Karthik talking with the coach about how RCB and himself should go along with the preparation for the IPL. It showed the results and he evolved as a finisher and hopefully, he will perform well for India too,” Siddarth Kaul said Cricket Mahamanch’ a show made to analyze IPL on Koo App. “We should enter the field with a positive attitude. We will definitely win the trophy in the coming season,” he said.
“A bowler and a player always have to believe in themselves, that is the most important thing. We must learn to accept challenges, challenges make us better,” he concluded.
