Having last played for India in 2019, with his scintillating form and consistent performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Dinesh Karthik is once again knocking on the doors of the selectors. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter has already amassed 244 runs at a strike rate of 189 – his strike is the best in the tournament for any batter who has scored more than 100 runs.
Dinesh has been utterly devastating in the death overs, hammering at a strike rate of 214. With his experience and form, Karthik has made a strong contention to be on the trip to Australia for the T20 World Cup which will be taking place later this year. However, on Friday, ESPCricinfo posted a picture of him on Twitter and asked fans: “What is Dinesh Karthik thinking in this pic? Wrong answers only 😅”.

In the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), RCB put up a challenging score. Although many batsmen of RCB’s team failed to do much, but due to some runs in the death overs, the team reached a good score and a lot of credit for that goes to Dinesh Karthik.
