There is no doubt that England has mastered the art of playing a fearless brand of cricket in the shortest format of the game. Dinesh Karthik feels England will enter the tournament as the favorites and lift the coveted trophy for the second time. He made the prediction during a candid chat with cricketer-turned-analyst Isa Guha and West Indies cricketer Darren Sammy.

During the chat, Dinesh Karthik said, “If you remove my bias for India because that is where I am from and ask me to do something else, I would put England at the top of the run there.”

Dinesh Karthik went on to add saying that England has been one of the most consistent teams in T20Is. This is precisely the reason why he feels England would win the title.

Dinesh Karthik added, “The brand of cricket that they have played. They have consistently shown other countries how to play this format right from ball one. They have shown it through 50 overs but more so in T20s. But also, a well-oiled team can do with a solid captain Morgan.”

England’s limited-overs skipper, Eoin Morgan has been going through a rough patch recently, but Karthik reckons that Morgan will perform when the team will need him the most.
