The veteran Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Dinesh Karthik recently became a commentator and he was also praised by Twitter users for his hilarious comments. Currently, the Indian team is busy in Sri Lanka for ODI and T20 series. Whereas, the veteran players are in England for the upcoming 5-match Test series.
However, almost all senior players are on rest for the Sri Lanka tour so they have regrouped back in the United Kingdom for practice. BCCI also scheduled a three-day warm-up game against select county eleven from 20th July 2021. Ahead of the game, the young Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant tested covid-19 positive so he will not be part of the practice match.
Along with this four other team members come in contact with Rishabh Pant and they also had to get isolated for 10 days. It includes bowling coach B Arun, wicketkeeper W Shah, Abhimanyu Easwaran, and training assistant Dayanand Garani.

Both the selected wicketkeepers are in quarantine so there is a big question mark in front of fans and selection. Though KL Rahul has the ability to fulfill the wicketkeeper role for practice matches it might be helpful if main team wicket keepers were present.
Meanwhile, in this quarantine and covid19 drama fans around India started tweeting that Dinesh Karthik can rope in as teh replacement. He is working as a commentator and he is also present in London for a commentary job. Because of which fans asking him to come into the stadium directly from the commentary box.

Likewise, one of the Twitter users posted the video of a WWF commentator rushed into a wrestling ring while doing commentary. For this, she captioned, “Rishabh Pant test covid positive, Shah is suspected in covid.” Further added, now it’s Dinest Karthik into wicketkeeper position. To which Dinesh Karthik replied hilariously.
