The veteran Indian wicket-keeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik, who made his debut of a different kind during the World Test Championship (WTC) final, earned a name for himself in more ways than one. Karthik made his commentary debut in the ongoing match between India and England, three months after he was part of the commentary team for England’s broadcasters Sky Sports during the India-England limited-overs series earlier this year in March.

While most of the fans and the viewers were impressed by Dinesh Karthik’s precision and insights and analysis on air, he also took a cheeky dig at Nasser Hussain after the latter praised the opening batsman Rohit Sharma. Hussain had said, “Rohit is a great puller of the short ball. Uses his feet well against spin. Shows positive intent.”

The whole thing started with Nasser Hussain praising Rohit Sharma’s ability to play the pull shot beautifully and also commended his positive approach and play the spinner well too. “Rohit is a great puller of the short ball. Uses his feet well against spin. Shows positive intent,” said Hussain. Karthik, instantly trolled him saying, “Yes, exactly the opposite of you.”
