On the first day of the ongoing Test between England and India at Lord’s, the visitors seem to have taken an upper hand in the game. After being asked to bat first in the cloudy conditions, the Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul faced the deliveries with a great sense of calmness and composure. England bowlers were aiming to take as many wickets as possible on an opening day but the Indian batsmen had a different plan.

India capitalized on the chances to better effect and the opener went on to add 126 runs for the first wicket. While Rohit Sharma dictated terms by scoring runs at a brisk pace, KL Rahul remained completely patient. James Anderson dismissed Rohit Sharma with a peach of an in-ducker.

Rohit departed after making 83 which he scored with the help of 11 fours and a six. After getting rid of Rohit Sharma, Anderson dismissed Cheteshwar Pujara in the second session itself. England cricketers Dominic Sibley and Haseeb Hameed were involved in a hilarious incident at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
