The wall of Indian cricket for almost a decade and a half, Rahul Dravid, made his T20I debut against England in 2011 at Old Trafford, Manchester in a surprising series of events. In what was his first and last T20I, Dravid overcame his initial struggles to score a hat-trick of sixes off Samit Patel.

In a bid to register their maiden win on the tour, India under Mahendra Singh Dhoni, won the toss and elected to bat. On the back of debutant Ajinkya Rahane’s half-century, 61 (39), with the help of eight fours, India scored 165-10 in 19.4 overs.

Suresh Raina was the second-highest run-scorer for India in the match as he scored 33 (19) with the help of two fours and three sixes. Dravid contributed with 31 (21), including three sixes.

With his career-best T20I bowling figures of 3.4-0-22-4, Jade Dernbach was the pick of the English bowlers.
