In a stunning display of power hitting, Ellyse Perry of the Royal Challengers Bangalore left spectators awestruck with her explosive innings against the UP Warriorz on March 4 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Her blistering knock of 58 runs off just 37 balls not only rattled the opposition bowlers but also resulted in an unexpected mishap – one of her towering sixes shattered the window of a TATA Punch.ev car, which was positioned as the Player of the Series award boundary display.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore has secured a spot in the grand finale after a thrilling victory over the defending champions, Mumbai Indians, on Friday.

Remarkably, their journey to the final began with a crucial league match against the same team, propelling them into the knockout stage under the leadership of captain Smriti Mandhana.  Facing off against the Delhi Capitals in the summit clash, RCB aims to clinch the title after finishing at the top of the league stage.

The road to the final was not without its challenges, as RCB found themselves in a tense situation after posting a modest total of 135 runs in the final league match against Mumbai Indians.  With the formidable Mumbai batting lineup, the target seemed easily achievable.

Despite a strong start from Mumbai, timely wickets and composed bowling in the death overs secured RCB’s place in the final, leaving captain Mandhana emotional with tears of joy at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
