The IPL has become a great platform for Indian youngsters to showcase their talent and increase the chances of getting into international cricket. In the ongoing season of IPL, there have been some entertaining performances from the future stars of Indian cricket. The tournament hasn’t reached the half-way mark and still, audiences have witnessed some breathtaking cricket and nail biting finishes.

Most of the team of this season has some unique blend of experience and youth. The beauty of IPL is that it provides a chance to the young domestic players to rub the shoulders with the best in the business. Also, there has been a trend a player to plays extraordinary cricket IPL, soon gets the chance to play for the Indian team. Hardik Pandya is the best example for the same as now he has become the crucial cog for the Indian team both in ODIs and T20Is.

Here is the list of 5 bright young Indian players of the 10th season of the IPL so far:

1. Manan Vohra (KXIP)

Manan Vohra is playing for KXIP from last five seasons and now he has been a regular member of the team. He made his IPL debut in 2013 and the franchise has retained him since then ahead of the more fancied players. The Chandigarh-born batsman plays for Punjab in domestic cricket and has impressed many with his technique and patience.

He played unforgettable innings of 95 off just 50 balls against Sunrisers while chasing 160. Opening the innings for KXIP, Vohra has scored 174 in five innings at an amazing strike rate of 165. Kings XI will need Vohra performing at the top of the order if they want to find their way towards playoffs.

2. Rishabh Pant (DD)

The 19-year-old Rishabh is proving his worth in this season of IPL. He showcased his batting prowess though during the 2016-17 domestic season when he smashed a triple century against Maharashtra for Delhi and a blistering 48 ball century against Jharkhand.

This year the Rishabh hasn’t missed any chance to impress and has scored his runs at a strike rate of 170. He also played astonishing innings of 57 against RCB while chasing 157 and now he is looking forward to grabbing more opportunities and contribute more to the side in the upcoming matches.

3. Nitish Rana (MI)

Nitish Rana is another youngster who is making it big in this season of IPL. He is an aggressive batsman and plays for Delhi in the domestic cricket. He displayed his excellent skills during Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in the 2015-16 season when he smashed 299 runs with the help of 21 towering sixes. It is a record for a batsman to hit that much sixes and that prompted Mumbai Indians to pick him last year.

The young sensation has been the surprise package for most of the oppositions in this season when he batted at number 3 for Mumbai. He has played some crucial innings for Mumbai this season and helped them to win matches. He is the strong contender of the orange cap in IPL 2017. Mumbai can see themselves winning the title with Rana performing like a pro in this season of IPL.

4. Ishan Kishan (GL)

The Jharkhand cricketer Ishan Kishan is another emerging player in this year’s Indian Premier League. He was the captain of the India U-19 team which reached the finals of the U-19 World Cup held in Bangladesh in 2016. His big hitting capabilities came into the limelight when he smashed a 69 ball 87 with eight monstrous sixes in a Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra in challenging conditions.

Gujrat Lions picked him in 2016 IPL auctions for the price money of INR 35 lakhs. In the last match of Gujarat against RCB, he played an innings of 39 off just 16 balls while chasing a huge total of 214. Ishan Kishan looks a real good candidate for the future.

 5. Basil Thampi (GL)

Basil Thampi, the young and promising pacer from Kerala is definitely one of the emerging players in his season of the cash-rich T20 tournament. He was one of the surprise packages for most of the oppositions as Gujarat Lions bought him for INR 85 lakhs in IPL auctions 2017. Thampi has the ability to bowl consistently at 140-145kph and he can also mix his ball with some accurate yorkers.

He has bowled some phenomenal spell for Gujarat and troubled some T20 greats like Pollard, Gayle, Kohli with his yorkers. There are very rare fast bowlers of his kind and that makes him prime prospect of Indian superstar.
