The tournament is scheduled to kick off on October 5 at the magnificent Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where defending champions England will face the last edition’s runners-up, New Zealand. India will start their campaign on October 8, facing the five-time World Cup winner, Australia, in Chennai. The much-awaited India vs. Pakistan clash is set for October 15 in Ahmedabad, a match that is bound to set the cricketing world on fire.

The format for the World Cup includes a round-robin phase, with each team playing the other nine. The top four teams will then qualify for the knockout stage and compete in the semi-finals. The first semi-final is scheduled for November 15 in Mumbai, followed by the second semi-final on the next day in Kolkata, with reserve days in place for both semi-final matches.
