Team India is currently locking horns with England in the series opener of the 5-match Test series. After winning the toss, the English skipper Joe Root decided to bat and only managed to score 287 runs in the first innings. However, they made comeback by reducing India to 182 for 8, but thanks to the Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s knock of 149, the visitors managed to narrow down the first innings trail of just 13 runs.
England came to bat just a few overs before the end of Day 2’s play and ended up losing the crucial wicket of their premier batsman Alastair Cook for a duck, thanks to R Ashwin’s repetition of the magical delivery which he bowled in the first innings of the same Test to the same batsman.
However, after the start of the play on the moving day of the Test match, it was Ashwin and Mohammed Shami who started the proceedings for India and within the first 10 overs, they got another breakthrough as Keaton Jennings was sent back to the pavilion by India’s premier spinner.

Ashwin took the third wicket of the innings as well, as he got the crucial wicket of the English skipper Joe Root a few overs before the first hours of play on Day 3. On the first ball of the 16th overs of the inning, Ashwin bowled a short of good length bowl on the fourth stump and Root tried to works it off his pads, but a thick edge came off the face of the bat and rest of the job was brilliantly done by KL Rahul
Rahul stayed low at leg slip and holds a wonderful snaffle by his bootlaces. It seems that the ball had bounced off his knee into his hands. Here is the video of the phenomenal catch by KL Rahul:
