The Indian cricket team locked horns with England in the first T20I match of the three-match series as they kick-started long grueling tour at the Old Trafford, Manchester. Indian skipper Virat Kohli elected to bowl first and his bowlers responded in the best possible way, as despite getting a start of 44/0 in first four overs, English team was reduced to 109/5 in 14 overs.

However, the biggest turnaround came in the 14th over of the innings which was being bowled by the chinaman Kuldeep Yadav, who dismissed three English batsmen in a matter of four balls.

On the first ball of the over, Kuldeep tempted the English skipper Eoin Morgan into getting under this one too early through a very rapid dip on this full ball. Morgan doesn’t get to the pitch and it spins ever so slightly away. Ends up a slice and an easy take ate dep midwicket for Virat Kohli.

On the alternate delivery, Kuldeep strikes again, as Bairstow had no clue. Draws him into a drive on the up. He would’ve struggled whichever way that turned because he was nowhere near the pitch. Dhoni does what he does. On the very next ball, Yadav made another England’s best Test batsmen in recent history look very very ordinary.

Kuldeep lobbed up at the exact same line and length again and Root also playing for the one that turns in, but it didn’t.  He’s walked a long way down the wicket. He’s given up. Dhoni fumbles and uses his helmet to recover. That wouldn’t have been out a year ago. No problem this time.

England’s innings ended on a harsh note as they only managed to score 159/8 in their quota of 20 overs.
