The English cricket team has revealed their 12-man squad for the second Test against India at Lord’s. They haven’t named their playing XI like they did ahead of the series opener but they give a confirmation that Ollie Pope will make his debut at number 4 for his country. The 20-year-old will be replacing Dawid Malan who didn’t had a memorable outing at Edgbaston and in turn, was dropped by the England selectors from the squad.

However, the hosts are still confused whether to select Chris Woakes or Moeen Ali as a replacement of Ben Stokes. The final decision will be taken on the morning of the Test match keeping in mind the conditions on offer. The all-rounder who starred with the ball at Edgbaston will miss the game for his ongoing affray trail. The searing heat in London has left the teams confused over whether to pick the extra spinner.

Fast-bowler Jamie Porter failed to break into the squad after being initially named in the 13-man squad. The hosts are leading the five-match series 1-0 after a thrilling win in the opener. The game swung from one side to another almost after every session before England finally managed to win it by 31 runs. The game kept the fans on the edge of their seats throughout.
