The five-match Test series between India and England is all set to begin on Wednesday and the hosts are no mood of leaving any stone unturned in the nets ahead of the series opener. The scorching heat in England has opened up the possibility of the spinners dominating proceedings in the series. Even their batsmen in the nets were seen facing the chinaman bowlers with the threat of Kuldeep Yadav looming on them.
The left-arm wrist spinner picked 14 wickets in 6 matches during the ODIs and T20Is of the tour which led to the Indian selectors picking him for the Tests as well. However, it is still unclear if Virat Kohli will include him in the playing XI for the first Test. But it seems that the hoss want to get all their bases covered in terms of their preparation is considered ahead of the series.

England team has recruited Akhil Patel (brother of Samit Patel), William Blackwell and Sam Wisniewski, all left-arm wrist-spinners, to bowl at their batsmen in the nets. While Blackwell is the club cricketer at Coggeshall in Essex, Wisniewski plays for Yorkshire Under-17 cricket team. The likes of Dom Bess and Jack Leach who were not picked in the squad were also spotted bowling in the nets.
Despite preparing themselves by training hard, it is not going to easy to face Kuldeep for the hosts especially with the red ball if he plays the first Test. A lot depends on the pitch at Edgbaston as well which looks set to assist the seamers in spite of all the talk of the spinners dominating.
Like India, the English team has also picked the wrist spinner Adil Rashid in the squad on the back of his limited-overs exploits. Even his inclusion seems a mystery with the conditions in England changing dramatically over the last couple of days.
