The much-awaited Ashes series 20221-22 finally commenced earlier this week between Australia and England and day two of the series saw hosts taking a commanding position in the game. Apart from cricket action, the venues have been serving as a great place for fans to meet and greet for a long time now. The world has also seen fans reaching out to their partners to propose to them in front of the crowd.
A similar incident was witnessed once again came during the Gabba Test when an England fan proposed to his Australian girlfriend in the stands on day 3 of the first Ashes Test. Tweeting about the same, official handle of Barmy Army wrote: “Massive shout out to Rob Hale, he met Natalie back in 2017 during last Ashes with Barmy Army.”

Talking about the game, on an opening day, the hosts dominated teh proceedings by dismissing the visitors on 147 runs only where the new skipper Pat Cummins wreaked havoc with his five-for. As day two came up, Australian batters brought their A-game to the table with Travis Head leading the proceedings.

While David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne did their best with bat, some ferocious hitting by Head in the middle, pushed Australia to post 425 runs on the board in the first innings.
Head was dismissed after scoring 150 runs when Mark Wood trapped him. Day three is currently up where England have already lost their two wickets (at the time of writing) and it remains to be seen how they will be able to make up for their first innings.

Describing the same, Warner said, “England did bowl well but what an entertaining innings by Travis Head. We’ve got smiles on our faces. It’s got to be up there for him personally. He backed himself and backed his areas and walks off with 112 to his name. It was a tight battle with him and Uzzie (Usman Khawaja) but to come out the way he did. that’s the Travis Head we know.”
