New Zealand dished out an impressive performance to outplay Virat Kohli-less India in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) at the Seddon Park in Hamilton. The visitors were bundled out for just 92 runs, their seventh lowest total in ODIs, as Trent Boult returned with outstanding figures of 5/21. Trailing 0-3, the win was New Zealand’s first in the series.
The last time when India toured New Zealand in 2014, the hosts kept them winless throughout the series and completed a series wash after winning the five-match ODI series by 4-0 with one game was ended as a tie. India’s dream to take revenge has been vanished by some exceptional swing bowling by Bolt.

The Men in Blue were without their regular skipper and batting mainstay Kohli, who has been rested for the rest of the New Zealand tour. India also missed the services of wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni in this match.
New Zealand asked India to bat first on fast bowling assisting pitch after winning the toss. The visitors were off to a shaky start as both their openers fell cheaply to Bolt. It was the best situation for the middle-order to show their mettle but both Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik failed to trouble the scorer and got out for a duck. Kedar Jadhav, too, failed in this match and cleaning up rest of the batting order was just a formality for a fired up Kiwi bowlers.
