The 27th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is being played between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Thursday, April 20. Plenty of romances exist between two players who had or are still having legendary careers, and their mutual understandings leave fans wonderstruck. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis are the two such characters in RCB and their confidence in each other’s opinions was visible during the match.

On Thursday afternoon, RCB got off to a blistering start against PBKS. The visitors’ star openers – Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis – made an opening partnership of 137 runs in 16.1 overs, with the former scoring 59 off 47 balls and the other 84 off 56 balls.

The duo has been in excellent form in the ongoing season, and Faf du Plessis is currently leading the chart of the Orange Cap. But more importantly, their trust in each other attracted a lot of attention during their fixture against Punjab.

It was the 14th over of the innings when Arshdeep Singh bowled a slower bouncer to Du Plessis and the latter failed to reach the ball. The ball was well ahead of Faf du Plessis’ head, but the leg-umpire did not signal wide. However, Kohli, who was standing at the non-strikers’ end, was so sure that the wide should have been called and told du Plessis to challenge the decision.

Faf du Plessis took little time to agree, and the replays showed they were right. A similar incident occurred in the game later in the innings with Virat Kohli at the receiving end in the 15th over.

Here is the video of the incident:

Twitterati were delighted to see Kohli rightly advising du Plessis to challenge the decision, and their bromance were lauded by many as well.
