Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have once again registered a convincing win on Wednesday against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, after the win, their opening batsman Faf du Plessis, who scored a quickfire 56 off 38 balls and earned the Orange Cap, said that a few changes to his batting in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has helped him score quick runs as well.

Meanwhile, the Former South Africa skipper is currently the leading run-getters in the IPL 2021 with 270 runs in six matches which came at an average of 67.5. He has also played with a good strike rate of over 140 as well.
“I went back to try and make sure my basics were good. I looked at what was the thing I did well last year and have been doing the same this year. One or two tweaks were made from last season to this season,” said the 36-year-old Faf du Plessis.

However, the veteran is a key player of Chennai Super Kings. He fielded exceptionally well in Wednesday’s game, by diving and stopping boundaries and taking a diving catch too as CSK ensured tight fielding as well as quality bowling in almost all the innings.
“I am disappointed, haven’t been getting many catches. Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) has been stealing the show, he’s the superman at the moment, but [am] happy to grab one tonight,” said the former Proteas captain Faf du Plessis while talking about the diving catch he took to dismiss in-form batsman Manish Pandey, who also smashed a half-century for SunRisers Hyderabad.
