With almost every passing game, Faf du Plessis is giving the testimony to his fans that age is just a number. After pulling off two sensational catches near the boundary rope in the IPL 2020 opening match against Mumbai Indians, the Chennai Super Kings star took yet another brilliant catch at the boundary line against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

On the fifth ball of the 11th over bowled by Piyush Chawla, Faf du Plessis pulled off a brilliant catch which helped CSK to send back Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner. Prior to his dismissal, Warner was struggling to play in his usual manner. The Sunrisers skipper, in fact, has looked like a pale shadow of his usual self in IPL 2020 so far.

Warner’s decision to bat first against the three-time champions was looking like a wrong one during the early part of the innings. By the end of the 13th over, SRH was reeling at 75 for 4. Their innings started on a terrible note as Deepak Chahar castled in-form Jonny Bairstow for a three-ball duck.

Manish Pandey then got the start but could fail to capitalize on it as he was sent back by Shardul Thakur for 29. The onus was on Warner and Kane Williamson to bail the team out of the trouble but both returned to the hut on consecutive deliveries.

In an order to accelerate, Warner came down the track and hit the ball towards long-on in Chawla’s over. But before the ball could cross the ropes, Faf du Plessis jumped his time to perfection, caught the ball, threw it in the air while the momentum was taking him over the ropes, returned into the field of the play, and completed another sensational catch. On the very next delivery, Williamson also lost his wicket.
