As the berths for the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 final are wide open, India and Australia are in contention to seal the spot. However, after taking the lead in the first red-ball clash, India will aim to extend their lead further and strengthen their chances for a berth in the finals of the global ICC event.
Interestingly, the World No. 1 side in Test has failed to register a series win on Indian soil since the 2004-05 season. Given their poor record in sub-continent conditions and massive loss in the first Test, the Aussies will look to bounce back with a strong performance.
