Fans Laughed Out As Harbhajan Singh Wished Sreesanth On His Birthday

Sreesanth, the Kerala-born fast bowler celebrated his 37th birthday on Thursday. He received some heartwarming wishes from his fans and cricketing fraternity surprisingly, the list also includes veteran Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh and the netizens gave it a comical angle as they stormed social media with their hilarious comments.

37-year-old Sreesanth played his first international game for India in 2005 against Sri Lanka. He marked his arrival with some astonishing performances and was rated as one of the fastest bowlers at that time. The pacer went onto become the strike bowler for Team India and was also a part of the T20 World Cup-winning squad in 2007.

In Sreesanth’s case, he was known for giving quite an animated send-off to the batsmen after taking their wickets. On several occasions, he had received a warning from the match officials but he never changed throughout his career. In IPL 2008, he was again held in a controversial instance when Harbhajan ended up slapping the pacer after the conclusion of an IPL match played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

Now, on the occasion of Sreesanth’s birthday, Bhajji took to his Twitter handle and wished him in a heartwarming gesture. His message read, “Happy birthday Shenta @sreesanth36 have a good year.” The netizens immediately to storm Twitter with their hilarious comments over the same.

Talking about Sreesanth, the BCCI slapped him with a life ban from any form of cricket for getting alleged in the IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal and the ban was later on reduced it to seven years. The ban was shortened as there were no proofs available about Sreesanth’s involvement in the fixing.

The fast bowler donned national jersey in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is in which he managed to grab 169 wickets across all the formats. After getting banned, he tried his hands in politics, acting. He was also nominated as the runner’s up in the famous controversial show Big Boss season 12.
