Fans on Twitter were quick to react after India’s Sanju Samson was dismissed for his second consecutive duck in the T20I series against South Africa. The wicketkeeper-batter, who had set the tone for India with a spectacular century in the first match, has since struggled, failing to score in the second game and now again in the third, leaving fans disappointed.

With the four-match T20I series tied at 1-1, both India and South Africa entered the third game looking to take the lead at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Wednesday, November 13. For Samson, it was a crucial opportunity to continue his explosive form, but unfortunately, he couldn’t find his rhythm.

In the third match, Samson was dismissed in the very first over by South Africa’s Marco Jansen. Facing his second delivery, Samson misjudged a good-length ball from the left-arm pacer. Expecting more bounce, he stayed rooted in the crease, but the ball kept low and sneaked through to clip the top of off-stump. This miscalculation left Samson walking back without scoring, and India struggling at a shaky 0/1.

This dismissal marked the second time Samson has been out to Jansen after scoring his earlier century. His inability to build on his early success in the series has left India’s top order in a vulnerable position, with fans and experts alike frustrated at the sudden dip in form.

As soon as he was out, fans took to Twitter to express their views on Samson’s inconsistency. Many expressed disappointment that Samson couldn’t capitalize on his early form and keep the momentum going. Some were frustrated, voicing their anger over his back-to-back ducks, while others speculated on the challenges Indian batters face when adjusting to varying pitch conditions.
