In their last league match, KKR needed 161 to win the match in 15.2 overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in order to fix a spot in the final two. Pathan came in and murdered the bowl and he even took Dale Steyn for 26 runs in an over. Pathan got his fifty off just 15 deliveries – the fastest in IPL’s history – and ended the match with the tally of with 72 off 22 deliveries which eventually helped KKR to win the match in just 14.2 overs.
