Australia is on the Pakistan tour after a huge gap of 28 years for three Tests as many ODIs followed by a solitary T20I. However, the first Test match resulted in a draw as the pitch was a batting paradise. Pakistan posted 476 for the loss of 4 wickets and then declared the innings. On the other hand, Australia retaliated with 459 on the board. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labusschagne scored 97 and 90 runs respectively.

Pakistan cricketer Fawad Alam has been trolled after the game as he created an unwanted record in the longest format of the game. Surprisingly, he didn’t get a chance to bat, bowl on all five days of the Test. The dead Rawalpindi wicket proved to be a paradise for the batters to dictate terms. On the other hand, bowlers literally found it really tough to take wickets except for Nauman Ali.

Meanwhile, the fans trolled Fawad Alam for not getting a chance to bat or bowl in the Opening test. One of the cricket statisticians took to Twitter and posted a tweet featuring Fawad Alam. He tweeted, “Fun Fact: Fawad Alam is first Pakistan player in 28 years to go a complete Test without batting, bowling, catching. Last was Asif Mujtaba vs New Zealand in Wellington in 1994. #PakvAus.”

Pakistan captain Babar Azam, at the post-match presentation said, “The way he grabbed his opportunity and the maturity he showed was commendable [on Imam]. So many positives. Even I would want to congratulate my bowlers as this was a tough wicket.”

He further added, “The way Nauman bowled was a massive positive for us. A few of our main bowlers were not available for this game as well but they should be available for the next game.”
