Former Australian skipper Michael Clarke believes the most fearless team will lift the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales. He feels Australia hasn’t played any exceptional cricket in recent past and their chances to win the World Cup are grim at the moment. India and England are said to be the teams who have the highest chances to lift the cup on July 14 at Lord’s.

Meanwhile, if we take a look at a side which has played fearless cricket in the last four years, it has to be England. Eoin Morgan has instilled a new confidence in his lads and they have delivered the goods. Clarke also added that side which will be able to chase down 350-380 consistently will be able to go all the way in the quadrennial event.

England is in good form in the One-Day International cricket since after the World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand. Their batting order has the firepower to chase any mammoth total and we witnessed it during the first ODI against West Indies when they successfully chased 360 runs. Also, home conditions will favor them as well.

Michael Clarke said on the talk show before the first ODI between India and Australia, “The most fearless team in England will win the World Cup, the team who is capable to score around 350-380 consistently.”

Australia is preparing well for the marquee event and will lock horns against India in a five-match ODI series in sub-continent. The first ODI is being played in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The visitors have spiced up the things after clinching the T20 International series by 2-0 and showed they still have the fire to compete despite the absence of David Warner and Steve Smith.

On the other hand, India is also one of the front contenders of the World Cup. Virat Kohli-led team has ticked the right boxes in the recent past and would like to go all the way. The Men in Blue has covered most of the bases and would like to fine-tune their team in the ongoing ODI series.
