In the nine matches that he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore last year, he scored 200 runs at an average of 22.22 and a strike rate of 122.69. Not ruling him out by any means, but it is true that a 38-year old Gayle will look to put in a couple of heroic performances for his new franchise in this season.
